Certification & Grading
The Developer's Guild operates a transparent skill validation system to help members demonstrate competence and help clients select qualified contractors.
Skill Certification Tracks
Members can pursue certifications in multiple technology areas:
- Web Development: Frontend, backend, and full-stack development
- Mobile Development: iOS, Android, cross-platform frameworks
- Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, GCP, containerization, CI/CD
- Database & Data: SQL, NoSQL, data modeling, performance optimization

Grading System
Members receive performance grades based on:
- Client Ratings: Average rating across completed tickets
- Response Time: Speed of ticket acceptance and initial response
- Resolution Quality: Thoroughness, documentation, and client satisfaction
- Escalation Handling: Performance on complex or escalated tickets
- Consistency: Track record over time
Grades range from Bronze to Platinum: - Bronze: New members or those building their track record - Silver: Consistent performance, positive client feedback - Gold: High-quality delivery, strong ratings, minimal escalations - Platinum: Exceptional performance, trusted for complex tickets, mentorship-eligible
Higher grades unlock access to premium tickets, higher-value work, and leadership opportunities within the Guild.

Not Eligible
- The Guild membership is for individuals only, not corporate entities
- Members must be able to work independently; the Guild does not provide employment
- Members must comply with all applicable tax and business registration requirements in their jurisdiction
How Membership Works

- Assess: Complete an initial skill assessment to establish your baseline competencies and starting grade
- Access: Gain access to the ticketing platform and training course schedule
- Engage: Bid on tickets that match your skills and availability
- Deliver: Complete tickets independently, following CoE quality standards
- Grow: Earn ratings, improve your grade, access certifications, and take courses to expand your capabilities
- Renew: Membership renews annually; active members in good standing are eligible for renewal
